Hdmi output not working

Just got the device in. Have a lenovo legion 5 17in laptop with two usb c displayport alt ports. Neither port works, when the monitor is connected i get an out of range error on my monitor. Any help is appreciated

Please ensure:

  1. The computer’s Mini Dock is connected to the side computer port (the USB-C port labeled COMPUTER) and supports video input.
  2. Ensure the USB-C to USB cable you’re using is a full-featured USB-C to USB-C cable (included in the box).
    If you’re sure both USB-C and DisplayPort Alt ports on your computer are functioning properly, please provide more information to help us troubleshoot the issue: 1. Monitor model 2. Detailed error information displayed on the monitor 3. Any error messages displayed on the computer. A video demonstrating the issue (including the cable connections and screen status) would help us better troubleshoot the issue.
