Todoist - Wi-Fi Connection Problem

Trying to use the Todoist app. I’ve entered the API key. I get the message “Fetching TodoIst…” and it shows an hourglass in the top right. After a few seconds, the hourglass goes away and it after about 15 seconds total, I get the message “Error Wi-Fi Connection Problem.”
I don’t think I have a WiFi problem with the device because I’m able to get the weather and I was able to flash the firmware to the latest version.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Paul

Hello,

According to your feedback, it may be that there was a network fluctuation when accessing the Todoist interface, so the “Error Wi-Fi Connection Problem” pop-up window appeared.

Please re-enter the Todoist App to check if there is the same problem. If not, it means that it is just a short network fluctuation.

If the same problem still occurs, please feedback to us the error code (or photo) of the Mini Dock error pop-up window in more detail, or provide us with the SN of your device (Settings >>> My Device >>> SN), and we will open the remote log for you to further investigate.

Hi,

I’m not sure what’s happening. I’m confident my Wifi is very solid. I have an AP just a few feet away.

Below are a few screen shots of the errors.

Finally it comes back and says “Todoist Resource Retrieval Timed Out. Please ensure a stable network connection and retry.”

I have a very large Todoist. Is it possible that it’s timing out before it can fully load? Is it possible I could have it limit to just a certain tag to test a smaller data set?

Thank you,

Paul

Hello,

According to your feedback, it is very likely that the situation you described is that the Todoist resource size is too large and the Mini Dock times out while loading. We will handle this situation in the next version.

Currently, the Mini Dock does not support displaying only the content of a certain label. If you currently need to use it, please reduce the resource size or wait for us to update the version (expected to release a new version within three weeks)

If you have any questions about the use of the product, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your reply. I purchased the mini-dock so that I could display important TodoIst Content. I don’t have a way to reduce the size. Could I conceivably write my own Vobot app for how I want to use it? I’d love to have it display based on a filter such as Today or based on a label such as @Must.

Thanks,

Paul

Hello,

You can certainly write your own Vobot application to use it. You need to access it according to the API documentation of Todoidt. The document link is: Guides | Todoist Developer

Regarding Todoist App, currently the App only displays the schedule of the day and the schedule without a set time. You can further process the data obtained from Todois API.
