USB-C for 2nd monitor?

Trying to connect a 2nd external monitor to the Vobot docking station by USB-C. My main monitor is connected by HDMI and works well. Do either of the USB-C ports work for an external monitor? Using a MacBookPro M3 Pro.

Hello,

Thank you for your question and for providing the details about your MacBook Pro M3 Pro.

You are correct that your main monitor is working perfectly through the HDMI port. Regarding your question about using the USB-C ports for a second monitor, here is a detailed explanation:

The Vobot Docking Station is equipped with one HDMI video output port. This means it is designed to natively support a single external monitor.

The two USB-C ports on the dock are primarily designed for data transfer (like connecting external drives) and power delivery (charging your MacBook Pro). They do not carry a video signal and therefore cannot be used to connect an additional monitor directly.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks. That explains it perfectly. If you ever do a new version of the Vobot, I’d love to see support for a second monitor through USB-C.
