I would appreciate a feature that would allow me to select different apps that would rotate on the screen (e.g. weather, BBC News, CNN, and my Photo Album), instead of showing always the one app I chose.

The App Auto-Switch feature is supported in versions after the current version V1.1.0.
If your version is not the latest version (V1.1.1), please go to Settings >>> My Devices >>> Software Update to perform an OTA upgrade.
After the upgrade is successful, select the App you want to rotate in Settings >>> Miscellaneous >>> App Auto-Switch >>> Application List, and then enter an already selected App to automatically switch between different Apps at intervals.

I already updated to 1.1.1, but couldn’t find the feature (and somewhat did not notice the “App carousel” announcement with v1.1.0. So thanks for pointing out how to apply it.
So far I only have 4 apps I can select, the News Apps don’t appear in the list. Or am I again missing something?

Regarding the display problem of the application list, since we have a major update in V1.1.0, the news app needs to be deleted and downloaded again before it can be displayed normally.
Regarding that you only have 4 applications to choose from, we believe that you have hidden them in the configuration interface (enter Settings >>> Application Settings interface in Mini Dock and enter the URL displayed on the screen in the browser). If you want to select more apps, please go to this interface to unhide them or download more apps in the App gallery (the album currently does not support the carousel function, which will be supported in subsequent versions).

Thanks for the update. The apps were not hidden, they were not up to date. Now they are. I also added some pictures, and I am happy to say that the carousel now woks as expected (at least for me 
)
